SPCA: FREE Rabies Vaccine Clinic

The Ulster County SPCA is hosting a free rabies clinic on April 5th, 2024 from 11am to 1pm, in partnership with the Ulster County Department of Health. By federal and state law, all companion dogs and cats must be vaccinated against rabies to prevent the spread of this fatal disease to animals and people.

The first rabies vaccine is good for 1 year, with the second vaccination good for 3 years. This first-come/first-serve, no appointment drive-through clinic is free and open to all Ulster County residents.

For dogs, pet owners should bring vaccination records and proof of license from dogs, acquired through the town clerk of their town of residence, and all dogs must be leashed.

For cats, ferrets and small animals, pet owners should bring vaccination records and all animals must come in pet carriers.

For questions about the rabies clinic, please contact the Ulster County SPCA at (845) 331-5377.
